Butternut Squash In Instant Pot

1 medium butternut squash, room temperature

1 - 1 1/2 cup water

Wash the outside of the squash and break off the stem if you can. Prick the outside with the end of a knife or fork 4-5 times.

Place a steamer basket in instant pot with cold water in the bottom of the instant pot. Place the squash in the basket. If the squash is too big, cut in half splitting the skinny part from the bulb and see if both parts can fit in the basket.

Close the lid and set the valve to sealing. Press manual high pressure for 45 minutes. Let the pot NR for at least 10 minutes or all NR if time permits.

When the pressure is released, open the lid and remove the squash. Cut in half and remove any seeds. Scoop out the soft flash from the skin and enjoy as is or put in the blender to purée while it is warm or room temperature.

备注

The recipe says to cook 25 minutes but it has never been cooked enough in that time. It does say manual high pressure and I use pressure cook, normal (vs low, normal, high) because the default is pressure cook normal which is what I use for everything. Maybe try changing to high and using 25 minutes to see?
