Chinese Honey Sesame Chicken

600g chicken breast, diced

2-3 tbsp cornflour

1 tsp each garlic & onion powder

Salt & pepper

1/2 tbsp olive oil

3 cups cooked rice, to serve

1-2 tbsp sesame seeds

Sauce:

4 tbsp honey (80ml)

2 tbs soy sauce (30ml)

1 clove garlic, minced

1-2 tsp sesame oil

1 tsp rice wine/white vinegar

2/3 cup chicken stock (180ml)

1 tbsp cornflour

步骤

Add the chicken to a bowl with corn flour, garlic & onion powder, salt and pepper, mix well to coat. Cook in the air-fryer (at 200C for 20 mins) or fry pan with olive oil until golden.

Mix the sauce ingredients together (except corn flour) and add to a pan, bring to the boil.

Mix the cornflour with 1 tbs water until dissolved then add to the pan, mix well and simmer until sauce thickens.

Add the cooked chicken and sesame seeds to the pan and coat in the sticky sauce.

Serve with steamed rice, green vegetables and garnish with spring onion/sesame seeds.
