Homemade Chili Crunch
Makes about 4 x 6-ounce

½ cup dried garlic (68g)
½ cup dried onions (47g)
½ cup red chili flakes (36g)
½ cup toasted sesame seeds (46g)
⅛ cup sugar (26g)
1 tsp salt (6g)
1 tbsp paprika (7g)
¼ cup soy sauce (60ml)
2½ cups avocado oil (590ml)

In a large heatproof bowl, combine the dried garlic, dried onions, chili flakes, sesame seeds, sugar, salt, paprika, and soy sauce.
Heat the avocado oil in a saucepan until it reaches 340°F (171°C).
Carefully pour the hot oil over the bowl of ingredients. It will bubble — this is where the magic happens!
Stir well to combine, then let it sit and settle for about 10 minutes.
Once slightly cooled, pour the mixture evenly into four 6-ounce jars, making sure both the oil and solids are evenly distributed.
Store in the refrigerator.
Note: If the oil solidifies in the fridge, just leave the jar out at room temperature for a few minutes to re-liquify.
