Easter Sweet Bread

1 1/4 cups warm milk

1/4 cup melted salted butter

1 packet instant yeast

2 eggs

1/3 cup sugar

1/2 tbs vanilla extract

1/4 tsp orange zest

4 cups bread flour

Topping

1 egg

2 tbs heavy cream

Rainbow sprinkles

步驟

In a bowl add the milk, butter, yeast, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and orange zest and mix well. Add half the flour and mix until combined, then gradually add the rest until a dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 45 minutes. Divide into 3 equal pieces, roll into logs, and braid into a loaf. Let rise again for 30 minutes. Mix the egg and cream, brush over the dough, and top with rainbow sprinkles. Bake at 350 for about 35 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool before serving.
