Hummus bil Lahme

For the hummus:
~1 can chickpeas (soaked overnight, or canned)
1 tsp baking soda
1/4-1/3 cup tahini
juice from 1/2 lemon
–2 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp salt
1/4–1/3 cup ice cold water
For the 'meat':
block (14 oz / 400 g) super firm tofu
olive oil
soy sauce
molasses
tomato paste
baharat
smoked paprika
onion powder
black pepper, to taste
salt, to taste
toasted pine nuts

1. On stove top, boil chickpeas with baking soda for ~20 minutes until buttery soft. Wash in cold water and try to remove many of the skins.
2. In blender/food processer, add chickpeas and rest of hummus ingredients and blend for a minute or two until smooth.
