These Apple Fritters Are So Easy and So Good

Apple Fritters-
Batter-
1 1/2 cups Bisquick
1 tablespoon sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Water as needed
Apple slices (about 3 apples peeled, cored and sliced 1/2 inch thick) (I prefer honey crisp or fuji)
Vegetable or neutral oil for frying
Garnish- sprinkle of white granulated sugar and cinnamon

In a bowl whisk together the bisquick, sugar, egg and vanilla. Add a little water as needed until it becomes the consistency of a thick pancake batter.
Heat a large skillet and pour a few tablespoons of oil in the pan (you need the bottom of the pan coated in oil) .
Once the oil is hot, dip hou apple rings in the batter and immediately place them into the hot oil. Fry on both sides until golden brown and crisp on the outside.
Remove from the heat and drain on paper towels and sprinkle generously with cinnamon and sugar.
