Pepper Steak

The Softest Pepper Steak

1 ½ lbs pepper steak

2 tbsp. (heaping) baking soda

3 tbsp. Oil

Salt and pepper to season

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 red onion, diced

5-6 cloves of garlic, diced

1 bag @kosher_taste diced onions (frozen)

1 bunch frozen (defrosted) French green beans or fresh

1/2 cup beef broth

In a bowl, add the baking soda to cover your pepper steak. Mix well and then sprinkle a little more baking soda on top and let sit for 30 minutes.

Rinse the meat off well and Pat dry and then season with salt and pepper. Pan fry the meat in oil in 2 batches for 3-5 minutes on each side. Remove and set aside .

Add the soy sauce to the pan and deglaze the pan. Add the red onion and garlic and mix well. Then add the @kosher_taste diced onions and mix well. Then add the green beans and mix in well.

Season everything with a little more salt and pepper add the meat back in and then add the broth.

Cover and cook for 10 minutes and then uncover and cook for another 10-12 minutes.

Serve over rice.
