I’m making something green everyday this month for St. Patrick’s Day and I had to share these green beans. You can go as heavy or light with the spice. I’d say my favorite is the snap of ginger you get and the garlic chips are a must.
Garlic Soy Glazed Green Beans - In a large skillet over medium heat warm 3-4 tablespoons of olive oil. Add in 2-3 sliced garlic cloves and cook until golden. Remove the garlic from the pan and place on a plate lined with a paper towel.
To the garlic infused oil add 1 pound of washed and dried green beans. At a pinch of salt and pepper. Toss and cook down until they start getting some color. I don’t cook them too long because I like them to still have a good crunch.
You can use a paper towel to soak up some of the extra oil.
Next add 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes, 1/4 tsp ground ginger, 3 tbs soy sauce, 1 tsp sriracha and 1/2 tsp honey. Stir until all the beans are coated and let cook for about 5 minutes.
Finish with a drizzle of sesame oil, sesame seeds and the garlic chips!
