Portuguese Oven-Baked Fish with Potatoes
Aromatic, juicy, and unbelievably simple this dish brings together crispy roasted potatoes and tender white fish drenched in a garlicky paprika olive oil. Rustic. Flavorful. Weeknight-friendly. ✨

Ingredients (Serves 4)
Base:
500 g white fish fillets (cod, hake, halibut)
500 g small potatoes, halved or quartered
2 garlic cloves, minced
For flavor:
½ cup olive oil
1 tbsp sweet paprika
1 tsp dried oregano
½ tsp salt (+ extra for potatoes)
¼ tsp black pepper
1 lemon, thinly sliced
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Roast the Potatoes
Preheat oven to 200°C / 400°F.
Toss potatoes with 3 tbsp olive oil, salt & pepper.
Roast 25–30 min until golden and crisp.
Prepare the Fish
Stir remaining olive oil with garlic, paprika & oregano.
Pat fish dry and season with salt & pepper.
Combine & Bake
Add fish to the pan, pushing potatoes aside.
Drizzle with the garlic oil mix.
Top fillets with lemon slices.
Bake 15–20 min, until fish flakes easily.
Garnish & Serve
Sprinkle with parsley and spoon the lemony oil over everything.

Tips
