My Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

1 cup white sugar

1 cup dark brown sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups milk chocolate chips

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

1. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

2. In a separate bowl, use a hand mixer to cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar. Mix in the eggs one at a time, and the vanilla. Combine well.

3. Add the dry mixture into the wet mixture, 1/4 cup at a time. Combine well.

4. Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.

5. Refrigerate the batter for 30 minutes.

6. Once refrigerated, scoop into balls and place onto the prepared baking sheets. I use a 1 inch cookie scoop to make sure the cookies are consistent in size.

7. Bake for 8-9 minutes, or until the edges are brown.

Preheat oven to 350°F / Prepare 2 large baking sheets with parchment / Makes approximately 35-40, 1 inch cookies

PS: This is awesome as a cookie cake. Place all of the dough on a 14 inch cookie pan and bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes. Let cool completely before decorating.
