500g of chicken thigh, diced

1/3 cup of soy sauce

1/4 cup of mirin

1/4 cup of cooking sake

3 cloves of garlic, minced

1 tsp of ginger, grated

2 tbsp of brown sugar

1 tbsp of olive oil or neutral oil

To garnish:

Sesame seeds

Spring onions

步驟

Pat chicken dry with paper towl before dicing into cubes. Then, season the chicken on both sides with salt and pepper. Let it rest for 15 minutes.

For the sauce, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger in a bowl. Set aside.

Heat the oil over medium high heat. Add the chicken in and sear the chicken both sides until golden. Set aside.

Add the sauce to the pan and simmer the teriyaki sauce until the sauce has thickened (3-4 minutes).

Add the chicken back into the pan and stir until it is evenly coated.

Serve with a bowl of rice, garnish with sesame seeds, spring onions and enjoy!
