Hot Milk Cake

4 eggs

2 c white sugar

2 1/2 c flour

2 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp vanilla

1 1/4 c milk

10 tbsp butter or hard margarine (1/2 c & 2 tbsp)

In mixing bowl beat eggs at a high until thick - about 5 minutes. Gradually add sugar, beating until light & fluffy. Combine flour & baking powder. Add to batter with vanilla & beat at low speed until smooth.

In a pan heat butter and milk until butter is just melted. Add to batter, beat until combined. Put in 9x13" pan. Bake 30-35 minutes.

Old recipe! Butter can be melted in milk in microwave. This takes longer than stated time to cook.
