Growing up we weren’t a big dessert family but this is one of the few that my mom would make often. It makes me so nostalgic every time I eat it now!
1 cup glutinous rice
4 cups water
4 pandan leaves, knotted
sub with ½ tsp vanilla extract)
1 cup black eyed peas, cooked
¼ cup sugar
¼ tsp salt
COCONUT SAUCE:
1 can coconut milk
1 tbsp sugar
a pinch salt
1 tbsp tapioca starch
1 tbsp water
