Spaghetti with garlic and oil — the way my grandmother taught me.

No heavy sauce.

No shortcuts.

Just real ingredients that speak for themselves.

This is proof you don’t need a long ingredient list to make something unforgettable.

You’ll only need:

1 lb spaghetti

1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

6–8 garlic cloves, sliced

1/2 tsp crushed red pepper

1 tsp salt

Fresh parsley

Pasta water

How I do it:

Gently heat olive oil, garlic, and red pepper on low. Let the garlic turn light golden—not burnt.

Pull off heat, add a splash of water (stops the garlic from overcooking).

Cook pasta 2 minutes shy of done.

Move pasta into the pan with 1/2 cup pasta water. Toss over medium heat until glossy and perfect.

Finish with parsley.

That’s it.

Simple. Honest. The way it should be.
