Episode 4 of my High protein recipe series:
I actually thought of this recipe a few months ago, and finally came to posting it! This is my gluten free take on Raising Canes chicken with homemade sauce and curly fries 🍟 It’s the ultimate hack for a shatter-level crunch without the gluten sadness. Deep fry it for luxury, or toss it in the air fryer if you’re tracking macros.
Recipe:
1 lbs chicken breast, sliced
1 cup pickle juice
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
10-20 rice paper sheet blended
oil, for frying
Canes sauce:
1/4 cup mayo
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp soy sauce or Worcestershire
1/2 tsp garlic powder and pepper
1 tsp sugar
Marinated chicken for a few hours in juice and spices. Mix sauce ingredients together. Blend rice paper, then coat chicken in it. Heat oil, then fry until crispy about 8-10 minutes flipping. Or air fry and brush with oil at 375 F for 10-15 mins flipping. Serve with fries and sauce, and enjoy!
