3 cups water
1 1/2 cup coarse cornmeal
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
1 tablespoon Vegan Butter (optional)
Instruktioner
Bring water to boil in a saucepan over medium-high.
Slowly pour cornmeal while stirring constantly with a whisk until the cornmeal is lump-free and starts to thicken. Then keep stirring with a large wooden spoon vigorously.
Cover the pot, reduce heat and allow the ugali to cook, stirring occasionally while forming into a ball and pressing the ugali on the sides of the pot with the wooden spoon for 7-10 minutes.
Spoon ugali in a bowl and press down. Invert bowl on a plate and serve ugali with your favorite stew.
