Mozzarella Chicken Tortellini with Broccoli

Ingredienser

20 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)

2 cups cooked chicken breast, diced or shredded

2 cups broccoli florets

Salt, black pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasoning

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

¾ cup whole milk

1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated parmesan cheese

Optional: parsley, red pepper flakes

Instruktioner

Cook the tortellini & broccoli:

Boil tortellini according to package instructions. In the last 2–3 minutes, add broccoli to the same pot. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the chicken:

If not already cooked, season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Sauté in olive oil until golden and fully cooked, then set aside.

Build the creamy sauce:

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant (about 1 minute). Stir in heavy cream and milk, letting it gently simmer for 3–4 minutes.

Make it cheesy:

Add mozzarella and parmesan, stirring until melted into a smooth, velvety sauce. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Bring it all together:

Add chicken, tortellini, and broccoli into the skillet. Toss gently until everything is coated in that creamy mozzarella goodness.

Serve & enjoy:

Finish with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a little heat. Serve warm and dig into pure comfort.
