Pistacios Twists

1 roll puff pastry
Jar of pistachio cream
Chopped pistachios
1 egg
Icing sugar, to garnish (optional)
Postup
Preheat the oven to 200c. Unroll the puff pastry on your work surface so there is a large rectangle. I roll it out so it’s a bit thinner so you’ll be stacking them. Slice the rectangle in half down the middle so you have two equal rectangles. On one half, spread the pistachio cream thickly. Top with the other rectangle of pastry.
Use a fork to crimp the edges to seal the pistachio cream. Then slice into thin strips. Holding both ends of a strip, twist a couple of times so the pastry twirls up. Lay on a baking sheet and repeat with the other strips. Brush with a beaten egg and sprinkle with some chopped pistachios and a little salt. Bake for about 15 minutes until puffed and golden.
Optional: warm a tbsp of pistachio cream in the microwave to loosen then drizzle over the top when out of the oven. Dust with icing sugar too!
