Sloppy Joe Casserole with Noodles

Ingrediencie

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup ketchup

2 tbsp tomato paste

1 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Salt & pepper to taste

8 oz egg noodles (or pasta of choice)

1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

Optional: parsley for garnish

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.

Sauté beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain fat. Add garlic and cook 1 more minute.

Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, brown sugar, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 mins.

Combine meat sauce with noodles in a large bowl. Stir in half the cheese.

Transfer to a greased 9x13" baking dish. Top with remaining cheese.

Bake uncovered for 15–20 mins, until bubbly and golden.

Add bell peppers or corn for extra veggies

Sub in ground turkey or plant-based meat
