Pecan Pie Surprise Bars

Ingrediente

Base:

1 pkg. yellow cake mix (minus ⅔ cup used in filling)

1 egg

½ cup oleo, melted

Filling:

⅔ cup cake mix

3 eggs

½ cup packed brown sugar

1 cup chopped pecans

1½ cups green label Karo syrup

Instrucțiuni

Grease 13x9 pan.

Reserve 2/3 c dry cake mix.

In mixing bowl combine remaining dry cake mix with oleo and egg.

Mix and press in pan.

Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.

Prepare filling by mixing all ingredients except nuts in bowl beating about 2 minutes.

Pour over cake, sprinkle with nuts.

Return to oven and bake 30 to 35 minutes longer until filling sets.

Cool and cut into bars.
