chili Lime Salmon WITH BANGIN' AVOCADO SALSA

1 pound wild salmon fillet
1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon chili lime seasoning, such as Tajín
Pinch of ground fennel
1 teaspoon smoked paprika or chipotle powder

FOR THE BANGIN' AVOCADO
SALSA
1 avocado
1 tablespoon roughly chopped fresh dill
1 tablespoon roughly chopped fresh tarragon leaves
1 tablespoon roughly chopped fresh chives
Zest of 1 medium lemon
3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil
1 ounce feta cheese, crumbled
¼ cup toasted walnuts, chopped
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Finely chopped fresh chiles or crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

1. Cut the salmon into whatever portions you like, then rub with the olive oil. Season with the garlic powder, chili lime seasonina. fennel, smoked paprika, and salt. If you can, let the salmon sit for 15 to 30 minutes to really soak up the flavors.
2. For the bangin' avocado salsa: Cut the avocado into chunks and add to a medium bowl with the dill, tarragon, chives, lemon zest, lemon juice, olive oil, feta, walnuts, and salt and pepper to taste. Give it a mix and add whatever else you like. If you like a little spice, add some fresh chiles or red pepper flakes.
3. If baking the salmon: Preheat the oven to 400°F. Transfer the salmon to a sheet pan. Once the oven reaches temperature, cook for 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets, until the flesh turns opaque.
4. If pan-frying the salmon: Place the salmon in a cast-iron or large pan and set over medium heat. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, until the salmon has a nice sear.
5. If air-frying the salmon: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Once the air fryer reaches temperature, add the salmon and cook for 12 to 15 minutes. Time varies by air fryer and the thickness of your salmon, so you may need to play around to find what works best for you. When gently pressed with a fork, the salmon should easily flake apart.
6. Once your salmon is ready, plate it up and top liberally with salsa.
