total timeIngredients
2 pounds sirloin steak tips or stew meat, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
8-10 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried parsley
Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions
Step 1
Pat the beef bites completely dry with paper towels to ensure proper browning.
Step 2
In a large bowl, toss the beef with salt, pepper, and flour until evenly coated.
Step 3
Pour beef broth and Worcestershire sauce into the bottom of your slow cooker.
Step 4
Add the coated beef bites to the slow cooker in an even layer.
Step 5
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter and add minced garlic and dried parsley. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant (do not brown the garlic).
Step 6
Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the beef in the slow cooker.
Step 7
Cover and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours, or until beef is tender (avoid opening the lid during cooking).
Step 8
Once cooked, gently stir everything together - the sauce will thicken as you stir.
Step 9
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.
