Dennis' Preferred Chocolate Chip Cookie

2 sticks of salted butter
1 cup white sugar
½ cup light brown sugar
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
½ bag (10 oz) mini chocolate chips
Instruções
Preheat oven to 400 F.
Beat until creamy, about 2 minutes:
2 sticks of salted butter
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
Then add 1 egg and beat until combined.
Mix separately:
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Add dry mixture to mixer slowly until all incorporated.
Then add half a bag (10 oz) of MINI chocolate chips (mini means better chocolate distribution: SCIENCE!). We prefer semi sweet! 🤩
Scoop/lightly roll into one inch balls and place on parchment paper-lined baking sheet leaving a bit of room in between. Bake for 8-9 minutes. Once edges are slightly brown, remove from oven. Continue "baking" for 2 minutes on the hot sheet. Then remove from sheet to cool.

We agreed that THE BEST type of chocolate chip cookie is buttery, thin, with crispy edges, and a soft middle. After a couple of failed internet recipe attempts, I started a recipe from complete scratch one day because WE ARE A HOUSE OF SCIENTISTS. I took my Internet knowledge of all the ingredients and how they work together and BOOM 💥💥
