Składniki

1 large round sourdough or artisan bread loaf

10 oz frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained thoroughly

1 (14-ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped

8 oz cream cheese, softened

½ cup sour cream

½ cup mayonnaise

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and black pepper to taste

Optional: 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes for a touch of heat

Wskazówki

Prepare the oven and bread bowl. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice off the top of the bread loaf. Using your hands or a knife, hollow out the center of the loaf, leaving a 1-inch thick border to create a bowl. Cut the removed bread and top into bite-sized chunks for dipping.

Combine the dip ingredients. In a large bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth. Add salt, pepper, and parm cheese. Stir well to combine.

On a stovetop, add the garlic and spinach. Wilt the spinach and use a paper towel to extract the water. Chop spinach into manageable pieces. Mix the garlic and spinach into the cream cheese mixture.

Fill and bake the bread bowl. Spoon the dip mixture evenly into the hollowed-out bread bowl. Place the filled bread bowl on a baking sheet. Arrange the reserved bread chunks around the bowl on the same sheet.

Cook until hot and bubbly. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the dip is heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbling. If the top of the dip is not golden, you can broil it for a minute or two, watching carefully to prevent burning.

Serve warm. Let the bread bowl cool slightly before serving. Present it on a platter surrounded by the baked bread chunks. Serve and enjoy while warm.
