Ravioli with Tomatoes, Asparagus, Garlic & Herbs

Pasta:
1 package cheese ravioli (fresh or frozen)
1 tablespoon salt (for boiling water)
Vegetables & Sauce:
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1 cup asparagus, cut into 2-inch pieces
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
½ cup vegetable or chicken broth
1 tablespoon butter
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Herbs & Garnish:
2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Extra Parmesan cheese
squeeze of lemon juice

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook ravioli according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add asparagus and cook tor 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.
Stir in cherry tomatoes, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 3-5 minutes until tomatoes soften.
Pour in broth and let simmer for 2-3 minutes. Add butter and stir until melted and slightly creamy.
Toss in cooked ravioli and gently coat in the sauce.
Finish with Parmesan cheese, fresh basil, and parsley. Serve warm with extra Parmesan and an extra squeeze of lemon it desired.
