Lemon Pound Cake

1 cup salted butter (2 sticks)

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs (room temp)

1 tsp vanilla extract

Zest of 2 lemons

3 cups all purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 salt

1 cup sour cream

1/2 cup buttermilk

Glaze!

2 cups powdered sugar

1/4 cup lemon juice

How to:

Instructies

In a large mixing bowl combine softened butter and sugar. Mix well. Add eggs one at a time and mix well. Add vanilla and lemon zest and mix. In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Whisk it together. In another bowl add buttermilk and sour cream and mix. Alternate adding it buttermilk mixture with dry ingredients into the mixing bowl with butter/sugar mixture until everything is mixed together.

Add into a parchment lined and greased 9 x 5 loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 80-90 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center. Let cool and remove from the pan. Add powdered sugar and lemon juice together in a bowl and mix well. Pour glaze over warm cake and serve!
