Anti-cancer Spaghetti

Ingrediënten

6 carrots diced tiny or shredded

1/4 head purple cabbage, shredded

1/2 onion, chopped

4 Roma tomatoes, crushed

1 Tbsp dried basil

1 Tbsp dried oregano

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 Tbsp chopped garlic (I used organic jarred for ease but fresh is best for anti-cancer benefits)

Instructies

Process all veggies in a food processor or chop VERY small (important for picky eaters)

Saute’ first 4 veggies and all spices in water until very soft (about 15-20 minutes.) Reduce to low, cover, and allow to steam. May need to add more water to avoid sticking to the pan.

Add garlic in and saute or steam for 5 more minutes.

Add in 2-3 cups of any protein of choice. Cooked lentils are the most anti-cancer, but sometimes I will do cooked organic ground turkey or grass-fed bison or beef.

Add in 2 quarts of any organic jarred marinara of your choice. Low sugar is great if you can find it. The carrots actually make this a bit sweeter than normal and the kids love it!
