That cloudy, streaky look on mirrors, glass, and stainless appliances after you clean is usually not because you “didn’t clean it good enough.” It’s because most cleaners are just moving around the oils left behind from hands. 😅
This is the non toxic DIY mix I use when I want glass & appliances to actually look clean, polished, and less smudgy after.
Fingerprint-free glass cleaner recipe:
1 cup distilled water
1 cup rubbing alcohol
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon cornstarch
Instructies
Add everything to a spray bottle and shake really well before each use.
How to use it:
Spray lightly onto glass, mirrors, and appliances then wipe with a clean microfiber cloth.
Why this works:
The rubbing alcohol helps cut through the oily fingerprints fast.
The vinegar helps break down residue.
And the cornstarch is the little secret that helps give it that polished, less streaky finish.
A few things that matter if you want the best results:
shake before every use, because the cornstarch settles
do not overspray
use a truly clean microfiber cloth
for extra smudgy mirrors, wipe once, then buff dry with a second cloth
I use this on:
bathroom mirrors
glass doors
windows
touch screens in cars
TVs
stainless steel appliances that are constantly covered in little handprints
Trust me when I tell you I’ve tried them all so you don’t have to! This non toxic solution not only works but it’s SO inexpensive and easy to make! Friends care about making your life easier! 🫶🫶
Save this for when you need to clean your glass and appliances! And share with another mom friend who could use this too! Let’s help make each others lives easier! 🙌🏼
