Helda Dill Pickles

Ingrediënten

3 quarts distilled water

1 quart vinegar (Heinz distilled white)

1 cup pickling salt

Pickling cucumbers

Fresh dill

Alum

Pickling seasoning

Garlic

Instructies

Start brine: Boil to dissolve salt in water and vinegar. Clean cucumbers. Clean dill. Clean and warm jars. Pack cucumbers and dill, insert dill on bottom, middle, and top. Add alum – ¼ tsp per quart. Add pickling seasoning – ¼ tsp per quart. Garlic. Fill jars with brine to neck level. Boil lids and seals, making sure tops are clean. Boil sealed jars 10 minutes.

Notities

Store in a cool, dark place until pickled.
