Big Beef Burgers

1 1/2 pounds ground beef

2 large eggs, beaten

1/3 cup bread crumbs

1 tablespoon grated onion

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

6 hamburger buns

Canning Day Corn Relish, for serving

Instructies

Prepare a charcoal grill to medium-high heat (350°F to 400°F) with the rack 4 inches from the coals.

Combine the beef, eggs, bread crumbs, onion, oregano, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.

Blend together with your hands until thoroughly incorporated.

Shape the beef mixture into 6 patties of equal size (about 1/4 pound each).

Grill, uncovered, until charred on the outside and juicy on the inside, about 4 minutes on each side.

Serve on the hamburger buns, topped with the Canning Day Corn Relish.

Notities

Dolly says: "To me, a grilled burger isn't a burger unless it's heaped with an especially good topping like my Canning Day Corn Relish. A little pile of Bread and Butter pickles doesn't hurt, either."
