Blueberry Dumplings

SAUCE
2-1/2 c. blueberries, fresh or frozen
1/3 c. Sugar
Dash of salt
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
DUMPLINGS
1 c. Flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. butter
½ c. milk
Instructies
Sauce: Bring blueberries, sugar, salt, and 1 cup of water to a boil, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
While sauce is simmering, make dumplings: stir together dry ingredients and cut in butter until it resembles coarse meal.
Add milk all at once; stir only until flour is dampened.
Add lemon juice to sauce and drop dumpling batter from tip of tablespoon into bubbling sauce, making 6 dumplings. Don't let them overlap.
Cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes without peeking. Serve hot with cream.
