Irish Soda Bread

So since tomorrow is St. Patrick’s day I wanted to share this with you again in hopes that you make a loaf to share with your loved ones. This is one of my favorite things to eat with my family. It is best served warm, with lots of @kerrygoldusa and good company 💛 here’s the recipe:
3 cups (500 grams) all purpose flour
1 cup raisins (150 grams) or another mix in
2 ish cups of butter milk (16oz)
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Sift the dry ingredients together in a bowl
Then toss in the mix ins and coat with flour
Slowly pour in buttermilk until you get the right consistency moving with a wooden spoon
The dough should be sticky, but not wet and still clumpy
Instructies
Add dough to a greased pie tin and cut a cross in the middle (to let the dough breath and let the fairies out 🧚
Bake at 325F for 40-50 minutes until bread is perfectly golden brown and can fall out of the pan if you flip it over
Let it cool for 10 minutes slice and enjoy 💛
