Gelatin Poke Layer Cake

1 (2-layer) package light white cake mix

1 (4-serving) package sugar-free gelatin, any flavor

1 c. boiling water

1 (8-oz.) tub of light whipped topping, thawed

Instructies

Bake cake as directed on package in 2 × 9-inch pans or a rectangular cake pan. Cool in pans for 15 minutes. Pierce with a large fork at 1/2 inch intervals. Dissolve gelatin completely in boiling water. Carefully pour over cake layers. Refrigerate 3-4 hours.

Dip one cake pan in warm water for 10 seconds; unmold cake layer onto serving plate. (If you used a rectangular pan, you can serve it right fro the pan) Spread with about 1 cup of whipped topping. Unmold second cake layer and carefully place on first layer. Frost top and sides with remaining whipped topping. Refrigerate.

This is a fun cake to nake for kids, If you don't want this low- calorie version because of the nutra-sweet, just try using regular

jello.
