Mary's Scrumptious Butterscotch Sauce

• porsjoner: 1-1/2 cups

Ingredienser

1 Tbsp. cornstarch

1-1/4 C. light brown sugar

½ c. dairy half and half

2 Tbsp. light corn syrup

1/8 tsp. salt

1/4 c. butter

1 tsp. vanilla

Fremgangsmåte

In 1-1/2 quart casserole stir together cornstarch and brown sugar. Stir in half 'n half, corn syrup and salt. Add butter. Cover.

Microwave at high 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes, until thickened and sugar is dissolved.

Add vanilla and stir until smooth and well-blended. Serve warm or cold.

This is good for dipping fruit or putting on ice cream.
