These Aren’t Truffles, They’re Miso Soup!✨
Not only are they incredibly cute, but they taste amazing too! It’s the ultimate life hack—just take one to work, add hot water at lunch, and you have instant, delicious miso soup. Isn’t that the best? You definitely need to try this!
Ingredients (For 1 ball):
Miso: 1 tbsp
Dashi Powder: 1/2 tsp
Your favorite toppings: Wakame, nori, dried veggies, yukari (shiso/ Japanese herb powder), sesame seeds, dried baby shrimp, or fu (wheat gluten).
A quick note: I used the powder from inside an unsalted dashi pack. Since the saltiness varies depending on the brand of miso and dashi you use, play around to find your perfect ratio!
Pro-Tip: I highly recommend using sesame seeds! They add a wonderful aroma and a nice little crunch. 😋
Today marks the end of Week 3 of our 28-Day Miso Soup Challenge! I hope you’re all having fun creating your own original bowls now that you’ve mastered dashi and instant methods.
Next week is the grand finale, and it’s perfect for anyone who wants to expand their repertoire and dive deeper into Japanese food culture. We’ll be featuring Regional Specialty Miso Soups from across Japan! Get ready! 💖
