Quick Mini Baguettes

Ingredienser

375 g (3 cups) white bread flour

3 g (½ tsp) fine salt

7 g (2¼ tsp) instant dry yeast

300 ml (1¼ cups) lukewarm water

Fremgangsmåte

In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Stir in the yeast. Add the water and mix with a wooden spoon until sticky and well combined.

Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap. Let rise in a warm spot for 1.5–2 hours, or until doubled.

Pour 1½ cups (375 ml) cold water into an empty ovenproof dish (not glass) and place it on the bottom rack of your oven. Preheat the oven to 240°C (465°F) fan-forced.

Place dough onto a floured surface and cut into 4 equal pieces. Lightly stretch each piece to flatten, fold top third down and bottom third up. Gently roll into a mini log and pinch the ends. Place seam-side down on a lined tray. Score tops 2–3 times with a sharp knife.

Bake 15–20 minutes until golden and crisp. Cool before serving.
