Smoked Sausage Alfredo Pasta

Ingredienser

12 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or rotini)

12 oz smoked sausage, sliced

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup milk

¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and black pepper to taste

Optional add-ins: broccoli or peas

Optional garnish: chopped parsley

Fremgangsmåte

Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and cook 4 to 5 minutes until lightly browned. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, add garlic and cook about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Stir in heavy cream, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Bring to a gentle simmer.

Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.

Return sausage and cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss until fully coated in the creamy Alfredo sauce.

Let rest for 2 minutes before serving. Garnish if desired.
