Dark Chocolate Hot Water Cake (Althea)

Ingredienser

2 cups sugar

2/3 butter

2 eggs

1 cup hot water

2 teaspoon vanilla

2 cup flour

2 teaspoon baking powder

2 teaspoon soda

2/3 cup cocoa

1/2 teaspoon salt

Fremgangsmåte

Sift together, flour, baking powder, soda, cocoa, and salt. Set aside.

Cream together, sugar, butter, and eggs.

Add in hot water and vanilla.

Add in dry ingredients.

Add 2nd cup of hot water to the mix.

Pour into a 9 x 13 pan.

Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
