Mom's Spaghetti

2 lbs. lean ground beef
2 or 3 medium onions, diced
1 green pepper
1 clove of garlic minced
2 small zucchini
2 small summer squash
Small box of fresh mushrooms
1 large jar or so of Ragu tradi-
tional Style Spaghetti sauce
1 large can or so of tomatoes in
puree
1 T. or so of sugar
1 T. or so of Italian seasoning
Shake of crushed red pepper
2 T. or so of salsa if some is
open in the refrigerator
Splash of red wine
Fremgangsmåte
• Sauté green pepper, zucchini, squash and mushrooms in olive oil till tender but still crunchy. Set aside.
• Add more olive oil to pan and sauté onions and garlic, then ground beef.
• Add remaining ingredients ex- cept vegetables. At time of serving return vegetables to pan and heat through.
Variations:add slices black olives and or cooked Italian sausage slices.
