Empanada Filling

Ingredienser

1/3 cup butter

1/3 cup onion

3 cloves garlic

1/2 cup flour

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1 1/2 cup chicken broth

2/3 cup milk

3 cup shredded chicken

1 cup frozen veggies

1 cup potatoes chopped

Fremgangsmåte

  1. Melt butter

  2. Saute onion and garlic until clear

  3. Add flour and salt (blonde rue)

  4. Gradually add stock and milk until all lumps are gone

  5. Add in potatoes and cook until thickened

  6. Add veggies and chicken

  7. Remove from heat when potatoes are cooked. Let cool before filling dough

  8. Egg wash empanada and bake filled empanadas at 400F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
