Viral Two Ingredient Sourdough Bread

2 cups self-rising flour

1 1/4 cups kefir

Optional: Salt to taste)

Prepare the Dough:

Mix the self-rising flour and kefir in a bowl until a soft dough forms. Add salt at this stage if desired.

Rest the Dough:

Place the dough in a bowl, cover it with a damp tea towel, and let it rest for 2 hours.

Shape the Dough:

Flour your work surface. Stretch and fold the dough 4-5 times to develop structure.

Preheat the Dutch Oven:

Preheat a Dutch oven at 200°C (400°F) for 30 minutes before baking.

Bake the Bread:

Transfer the dough to a baking sheet and place it in the preheated Dutch oven. Bake for 50 minutes total.

Tip: Remove the Dutch oven lid after 35 minutes to help the crust turn golden brown.

Enjoy your homemade bread! It should be soft on the inside with a beautifully crisp crust.
