Sausage & Peppers Skillet

½ yellow onion, sliced
2 bell peppers, sliced (any color)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 lb smoked turkey sausage (or any sausage you prefer)
24 oz pasta sauce
10 oz diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
2 cups instant rice
2 cups beef broth
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt & black pepper, to taste
Fremgangsmåte
In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, sliced onion, and bell peppers.
Cook for 3–4 minutes until they begin to soften.
Add the sliced smoked turkey sausage (or your choice of sausage). Cook until browned and heated through.
Stir in the pasta sauce, diced tomatoes, instant rice, and beef broth.
Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Bring everything to a boil, then cover the skillet.
Reduce heat and simmer until the rice is fully cooked, following the rice package instructions.
Once the rice is tender and the sauce has thickened, serve warm and enjoy!
