Apple Walnut Steel Cut Oats

2 cups water

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 tablespoons apple cider

1/2 cup steel cut oats

1 pinch of salt

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 large apple, diced

1/4 cup walnuts, chopped

2 tablespoons flaxseed

Brown sugar to taste

Arahan

1. Bring water, vanilla, and apple cider to a rolling boil and add steel cut oats, salt, and cinnamon then simmer on low for 20 minutes.

2. About five minutes before the oats are finished cooking add in the diced apple walnuts and flax seed.

3. Continue cooking until apple is tender, and liquid is absorbed if the mixture dries out at a splash of water or cider.

4. Serve with brown sugar or Stevia to taste.
