Steak with Creamy Mushroom Sauce

2 ribeye steaks (room temperature)

300 ml cream

100 g mozzarella cheese, grated

400 g brown mushrooms, sliced

1 heaped tbsp Dijon mustard

½ brown onion, diced

2 potatoes, peeled & diced

Chives, finely sliced

Butter

Salt & pepper

Arahan

Boil potatoes until tender, then drain and mash with butter, mozzarella, salt, and white pepper until smooth. Set aside.

Heat butter in a pan on high and sear seasoned steaks until medium-rare. Remove and rest.

In the same pan, sauté onion for 2 minutes, add mushrooms, and cook until softened.

Stir in Dijon mustard, then pour in cream with salt & pepper. Simmer until thickened.

Serve steak over cheesy mash, spoon over mushroom sauce, and finish with fresh chives.
