Garlic Butter Steak in Creamy Mushroom Sauce

For the Steak:

1 1/2–2 lbs steak (sirloin, ribeye, NY strip, or steak bites)

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika

For the Creamy Mushroom Sauce:

2 tablespoons butter

8 oz sliced mushrooms

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

Optional: parsley or fresh thyme for garnish

Slice steak into strips or cubes if desired. Pat dry and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and paprika.

Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the steak, cooking 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter. Add mushrooms and cook 4–5 minutes until softened.

Add minced garlic and cook 1 minute until fragrant.

Pour in beef broth, scraping up the browned bits.

Add heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.

Return the steak to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Let everything simmer 2 minutes so the flavors blend.

Garnish with parsley or thyme and serve warm.
