Whole Wheat Bread

1/2 cup lukewarm water

4 cups hot water

4 teaspoons salt

3 T yeast

1/4 cup shortening

1/2 cup brown sugar

12 cups whole wheat flour

Nurodymai

Add yeast to 1/2 cup warm water. Put shortening, brown sugar and salt in a large bowl. Pour the 4 cups hot water over this, stir until all is melted. When mixture is lukewarm, add the yeast, then gradually add the flour. Knead (this is a slightly sticky dough). Let rise, knead down and let rise again. Shape into loaves and let rise. Bake and enjoy! Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
