Ezme – Spicy Turkish Sauce

3 tomatoes

1 medium onion

1 green pepper (preferably Turkish/long green pepper)

1 red pepper

2 garlic cloves

½ cup parsley

1 tbsp tomato paste

Juice of 1 lemon

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp aleppo pepper (or chili flakes)

½ tsp sumac 1 tsp red crushed chillies

2 tbsp pomegranate molasses

1 tbsp olive oil

Roughly chop the tomatoes, onion, peppers, and garlic.

Add everything to a blender along with parsley, lemon juice, tomato paste, olive oil, and spices.

Blitz until smooth but slightly chunky.

Strain if you prefer a smoother sauce.

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Serve it with kebabs, grilled meats, or as a dip with fresh bread – it’s fresh, zesty, and irresistibly delicious!
