Paper Fleet (Paper Planes for a Crowd)

1¼ cups Amaro Nonino

1¼ cups Aperol

1¼ cups bourbon

1¼ cups fresh lemon juice

Mix 1¼ cups Amaro Nonino, 1¼ cups Aperol, and 1¼ cups bourbon in a large freezer-safe airtight container (two 1-qt. containers work well). Freeze at least 3 hours and up to 1 week.

One hour before serving, remove container from freezer and stir in 1¼ cups fresh lemon juice and 1 cup water. Return to freezer and chill the remaining hour. (Mixture won’t freeze in that time because of the alcohol content, but it will if left in the freezer much longer.) Transfer to a pitcher and chill until ready to serve.

To serve, pour cocktail into glasses and garnish each with a lemon twist.
