Spaghetti Pie

6 oz. Spaghetti (3 cups after cooked)

2 Tbsp. Butter

1/3 c. grated parmesan cheese

2 well-beaten eggs

1 c. cottage cheese

1 lb. Ground beef or bulk pork sausage

½ c. chopped onion

16-oz. can of tomato paste

1/4 c. green pepper (opt.)

18-oz. Can (1 c.) tomatoes

1 tsp. sugar

1 tsp. dried oregano

½ tsp. garlic salt

1/2 c. shredded cheese

手順

Cook spaghetti (should have 3 c.). Stir butter into hot spagheti. Also stir in parmesan cheese and eggs.

Form spaghetti into a crust in a 10 inch pie plate.

Spread cottage cheese over bottom.

In skillet, cook meat, onion, green pepper. Stir in undrained tomatoes, paste, sugar, etc. and heat through. Turn meat mix into crust.

Bake uncovered 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

Sprinkle on cheese and bake 5 minutes longer.

This is a very adaptable recipe if you have any kind of ground meat and some tomato products in your kitchen. I've used spaghetti sauce in lieu of the tomatoes and tomato paste. If you just had tomatoes, you could just cook it down more.
