Ingredients:
1 cup fresh lime juice (about 6–8 limes)
3/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
4 cups cold water
Ice
Lime slices and mint for garnish (optional)
🧊 Instructions:
Juice the Limes:
Roll the limes on the counter to soften them, then cut and squeeze until you get 1 cup of juice.
Strain out seeds and pulp if you like it smooth.
Dissolve the Sugar:
Combine sugar and 1 cup of warm water. Stir until fully dissolved (or make a simple syrup by heating equal parts sugar and water).
Mix It All Together:
In a pitcher, combine the lime juice, sugar water, and the remaining 3 cups of cold water.
Stir well and taste—adjust with more lime or sugar if needed.
Serve:
Pour over ice.
Garnish with lime wheels or mint leaves.
🍓 Fun Variations:
Strawberry Limeade: Blend 1 cup strawberries with a little water and strain before mixing in.
Cucumber Limeade: Add cucumber slices and mint for a spa-like twist.
Sparkling Limeade: Swap some or all water for sparkling water right before serving.
Spicy Limeade: Add a few slices of jalapeño for a spicy kick.
